I made a bedroom light and bathroom light switchable from bed.
Very inexpensive way to add a switch to a fixture vs the cost to open walls and run wires. My parent's built in the carport 55+ years ago and the light switch for the overhead light was in the utility room. To turn on the overhead light, you would need to turn on the switch in the utility room, go through the kitchen, the dinning room and through the front living room to reach the room that was the carport. To turn off the light, you needed to revise the above path. This had been going on for the past 55+ years. This remote switch allowed me to remove the switch (wire nut the wires together) and put a switch in the room.Pros: Easy to install. Does not require rewiring. Touch on/off, On is instant, Off takes about 2 to 3 seconds,Con:The only con is that when turning off, you do need to hold the button down for 2 to 3 seconds, vs touch and go.It is something I can easily put up with. Two to three seconds versus that long walk is still much quicker an cost efficient.
Awesome little product, The simplicity and how well it works has been great for me. It controls my outdoor shop lights about 50' away from my back door with no signal issues.
This worked so well it inspired me to write my first review. It worked just like the description. First time , no programming no BS . Just wire the transmitter thing in line in the circuit and done . It took me longer to fine the right point in the circuit for the transmitter than to actually wire it in …
I have a 120 year old home. There was a pull chain on the light in the staircase. Everyone told me the only way to have light switches was to run conduit on the walls. I think that looks bad, this is the perfect solution!
